DRBU Student Activities – Sustenance for the Spirit

  • Knitting – Learning a new craft and applying those lessons to life.
  • Food for the homeless – Giving lets us reflect; everything is shared.
  • Basketball – The feeling of the hardwood, physicality, and friendly competition.
  • Tai Chi – The subtle union of movement and stillness.
  • Christmas Caroling – The beautiful gift of fellowship, song, and joy.
  • Hiking – Enjoying the valley and the vineyards from above.
  • Tea Club – Sharing a new experience with every steep.
  • Chinese Club – Learning the language, appreciating the ancient.

Many DRBU students participate in or propose extracurricular and social activities such as hiking, knitting, and sharing vegetarian recipes. Embodying a spirit of generosity, they regularly serve food to the homeless at a local Ukiah shelter. The Three Treasures Tea Club tastes fine teas and learns about their subtle layers and rich culture. The Chinese Language Club has been practicing speaking and the art of Chinese lantern making.
